First Trailer Released for ‘Venom: The Last Dance’

Sony surprised fans today with an unexpected trailer release for Venom: The Last Dance! Check it out below.

With a title like The Last Dance, audiences can assume that this will be the last hurrah for Eddie and Venom. Joining returning cast members Tom Hardy and Peggy Lu will be some exciting new characters played by Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Clark Backo.

The last we saw of Eddie and Venom was an end-credit scene in Spider-Man No Way Home. The trailer begins by showing us that not much has changed for the duo. We see Eddie walking into a threatening scenario with a gang of unseemly characters that ends in true Venom fashion, with the bad guys getting their heads bit off. They seem to have a good thing worked out despite struggling some with their iconic catchphrase, “We are Venom.” Soon it is revealed that the government has been hiding something from the people of Earth, shocking I know. Dr. Payne, played by Temple, finds out that Venom is the proof of life on other planets they have been waiting for. Quickly it’s revealed that the government wants to keep this hush-hush and will hunt down Venom.

In a shocking turn of events, Venom’s home planet has crash-landed on Earth and is making their presence known. With several symbiotes captured along with being hunted on all sides by aliens and soldiers alike, it seems that time is running out for Eddie and Venom. We see some of the humor that helped make the Venom films iconic in this trailer as well. Witnessing Mrs. Chen dancing with Venom is sure to be an unforgettable moment! Another moment that will have fans rewinding is Eddie in a van with what appears to be Dr. Curtis Connors from The Amazing Spider-Man. Alongside hints that popular villain Toxin will make an appearance only time will tell what Venom: The Last Dance has in store for fans. With the tagline, “Till death do they part,” it doesn’t seem like Eddie and Venom are going to have a happy ending. I choose to hope they will pull another miracle, because these movies are just pure bombastic movie fun!

Venom: The Last Dance will be released exclusively in theaters this October. The film will also be available in premium formats and IMAX.
