It’s a bittersweet day for My Hero Academia fans. The long-running manga series, which recently entered its epilogue phase following an explosive final battle, has been confirmed to have only five chapters remaining. It will officially come to an end on August 5.
My Hero Academia is set in a world where people are born with superpowers known as Quirks. Despite his lifelong dream of becoming a superhero himself, Izuku Midoriya is Quirkless … until he crosses paths with the world’s greatest hero, All Might, and enrolls in a prestigious high school for heroes in training.
The manga, which is written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi, has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2014. A decade later, the manga (and its highly successful anime adaptation) have left a lasting impact that most certainly won’t soon be forgotten.
Chapter 430 of My Hero Academia will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump’s combined Issue #36-37.
Season 7 of the anime adaptation is currently airing, with new episodes releasing weekly. The upcoming film, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, will be released in Japan on August 2.
