Nerds & Beyond: There are a lot of conventions all over the world. What has been a memorable place that you’ve visited for a convention?

Emmanuelle Vaugier: London at Christmas time. That was… just because of all the lights and everything. Being in London at that time of year is just kind of magical. And it was a big con, and it was a lot of fun, [and a] big group of us that went, so it was good.

Nerds & Beyond: For Creation’s Supernatural conventions specifically, what are you most excited about coming back to these cons and coming to Vegas?

Emmanuelle: I’ve only ever done one Creation Convention, which was in Burbank, California, 2019 or 2018, something like that. I think the most exciting thing is that it’s a show-specific Comic Con. So usually, when I go, it’s usually a little bit of everything. There’s different cast members from different shows that I’ve done, and it sort of spans across the board. But this is very specific, obviously, to Supernatural, and they’re [a] really loyal and lovely fan base. And I’m excited to meet that fan base, because it’s such a supportive and amazing fan base that I haven’t really had the opportunity to interact with in this capacity. So I’m excited for that.

Nerds & Beyond: How has being a part of the Supernatural world, and conventions in general changed or affected your life?

Emmanuelle: It’s kept everybody in touch, as far as cast members and things like that. It’s really cool to see on the fan side of things, how different generations, with streaming and everything, all the new fans… they come into the fold every year. It’s like the parents that are fans of it from when it was first on the air, now their kids are watching it. They’re watching it together, and the kids are coming to the con, and then their kid, it’s like, oh my gosh, [we’ve been] around for a while now. So, I think that’s the most rewarding part, just the show keeps getting a new life, like every few years, with a different generation.

Nerds & Beyond: What is something that fans, or fandom in general, has taught you?

Emmanuelle: Community. I think it’s been really cool to see the growing community and the community that exists within the comic con world. People from all over the world meet up at these comic cons that wouldn’t have normally met anywhere, and through these television shows and a common interest, [and] have become lifelong friends and travel together. I mean, I’ve seen the same groups of girls and guys that go together to these different comic cons across the world, and they’re from opposite ends of the world.

Nerds & Beyond: Fandom is a big part of why Supernatural and these conventions have been so successful. I know you’re going to see them soon, but if you had to say something to them, what would you say?

Emmanuelle: Bring your best werewolf costumes. I haven’t seen anyone dressed as a werewolf, like a Madison werewolf. I’d like to see that.
